Psalm 62:1-2, 4-8, 10, 12

(1-2) "My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.

(4-8) "They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; they bless with their mouth, but inwardly they curse. My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

(10) Do not trust in oppression and do not vainly hope in robbery; if riches increase, do not set you heart upon them

(12) And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, for You recompense a man according to his work.

Is your soul resting in God alone? Is He your rock, salvation and fortress?

Comforting Words

Psalm 18: 1-3

'I love You, O Lord, my strength.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
And I am saved from my enemies'


These are some of my favorite life verses. They always bring me comfort when I'm distressed/worried, scared/afraid, depressed, lonely, doubtful, hurt etc. I even read them when I'm happy, excited, amazed, etc. b/c they bring not only comfort, but joy.

When I read them I see that God is actually saying these words to me!! When we pray, we are talking with God. The way God talks to us is through His word: The Bible. That's how He communicates with us. Those are His words put down on paper for us to read what He's saying to you and me.

When I got baptized in September '07, these were the verses I said after I gave my testimony. The reason I chose them is b/c they bring comfort and joy and they have helped me in my walk with God. These verses are like an everlasting and eternal stronghold that will never let me down.

Still here ...

Hey guys!
Still at my grandparents. They live on a lake so my dad, brothers and I might go tubing today!!! Whoohoo!!! I can't wait! Sometimes I like to fall off the tube on purpose :D Only it's a challenge to get back on! I'll also be posting pictures from here when I get home.

Before I sign off I'd like to write one of my favorite life verses;

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified and do not be discouraged; for the Lord your God is with you WHEREVER you go.

This verse always reminds me that God is always with me and the I am never alone. God is always in control when there is a "storm" going on in our life and we need to put our trust in Him.
